I’m a drystone waller from Huddersfield in West Yorkshire. I love all things dry stone walling and set up my business OGS to fulfill my passion. I love the unique combination of creativity and logic used to build these amazing structures that are capable of outliving us all!

 

Being a mathematics graduate, dry stone walling wasn’t something I’d initially considered doing or appreciated. However, after a lengthy period living in Australia where I trained and worked as a stonemason, I quickly found enjoyment in building stone retaining walls, and it was clear that I had a talent for it (if I do say so myself!)

 

Once back in the UK, I adapted my skills to include dry stone walling and now get the pleasure not just of building walls but transforming entire gardens through projects such as fire-pit seating areas, outdoor kitchens and feature walls, to name a few!
