The rebuilt drystone wall now free of the ivy
AFTER: The newly rebuilt drystone wall

We were asked to rebuild an old drystone wall in Meltham which was almost hidden under yards of thick ivy.

Ivy isn’t good for walls as it displaces the stones as it grows.

We built the wall using some of the original stone mixed with new quarried stone from Graham's Quarry at Cartworth Moor, Holmfirth.

The appearance of the house has been enhanced by the strong lines of the new wall. At least, we think so.
